Homebound Ministry

Persons who live in the area but cannot come to the parish (homebound, nursing home or retirement community residents) can receive a visitation from the Parish Priest. Note the following below:

1.  Father David is not always aware of a parishioner's ability or inability to attend church services.  If you or someone you know is unable to attend services or parish events, please inform the Parish office.

2.  Father David attempts to see all homebound (including nursing facility and retirement community residents) parishioenrs during the following seasons:

a.  The Nativity (the week prior to or following Christmas)

b.  Holy Week and Pascha (either Holy Week or Bright Week)

c.  The Dormition of the Virgin (during the first two weeks of August).

To ensure a visitation at these times, please remind the parish office.

2.  Father David is always willing to visit homebound persons outside these seasons by request and/or appointment.

At these visitations, Father David is able to administer the Holy Sacraments of Confession, Unction and Communion as desired by the parishioner.

Please note that Father David cannot administer Holy Communion to persons who are unable to swallow or cannot convey consent (due to unconsciousness, severe dementia, and so forth).  In such cases, Holy Unction is usually appropriate.
