Welcome Back!
In September, 2010, Rev. Father Peter Georgacakes, pastor of Saint Demetrios from 1961 to 1996, returned to assist us at liturgical services on Sundays and other festal holidays. Father Peter most recently served in a similar capacity at the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Oak Lawn, IL, in addition to substituting for area clergy in times of need (as he will continue to do from time to time as necessary).
We are very glad to have Father Peter back at our parish home where he ministered for thirty-five years! May he be with us for as many more!
